Who is a Domestic Employee/Household Assistant?
A Domestic employee or Household Assistant is a full-time or part-time employee who carries out any or all duties that are part of the normal functioning of a household, such as cooking, cleaning, washing and / or ironing.
What is the difference between a part –time and full-time Domestic Employee/Household Assistant?
A full time Domestic Employee/Household Assistant is an employee who normally works forty four (44) hours per week exclusive of lunch breaks or other rest periods.
A part-time Domestic Employee/Household Assistant is an employee whose work week is less than forty four (44) hours exclusive of lunch breaks or other rest periods.
Why should a Domestic Worker Register?
